EWN and Devon Thorne's agent have both confirmed that Thorne is in talks of signing a contract to appear under the EWN banner come the rebirth in early October. Co-Owner The Rock stated it to be a big signing, both for EWN and Devon.
"This is big news for both of us. Devon, I've checked up on him, I've seen his in ring work, I find his background interesting - I can see this kid making an impact, even if he starts at the bottom of the ladder."
Devon is a former MMA and NJPW fighter, having focused and practiced his ropes in two different arenas, he is known to bring a mix of traits and styles with a smashmouth and in-your-face style.
"I know I'm forceful, and I know I'm forward. But that's what makes me good, there's no point in being in this business if you're not gonna use what you have as a weapon. I know I'm gonna go in there, and guys are gonna size me up then and there. But trust me, they'll be surprised what I can do."
A video package was released to EWN exclusively to give the audience a chance to see the style Thorne likes to use, a short highlight of one of his more brutal matches while working in Japan.
